The University of Montana women's tennis team is in Boise, Idaho, this weekend competing in the three-day Jack Taylor Classic hosted by Boise State.

The tournament kicks off on Friday at 8:30 a.m. with the final matches wrapping up late Sunday morning. Montana will join Boise State, Brigham Young University, Colorado State, Eastern Washington, Idaho, Idaho State, Montana State, Seattle, Utah State and Weber State.

"We are excited to head down to Boise," said head coach Steve Ascher. "There are eleven teams going, and it should be a lot of tennis. We are just trying to get in a lot of experience this fall and get in as many matches as we can. I think this is going to be a really good venue for our players to get a lot of match play. We are really looking forward to this competition. "

Grizzly players will be competing in both doubles and singles.

Junior Maddy Murray joins the team after sitting out the last tournament in Pullman, Wash., due to a lingering issue. She is slated to play doubles with partner freshman Mackenzie Rozell.

GoGriz.com will have a full recap after the completion of the tournament.
