The Montana women's tennis program will host its fifth annual Play with a Griz Day on Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Lindsay Tennis Center on campus. The fundraising event will run from 1-3 p.m.

The event is a fun day of mixed doubles competition, with members from the community having the opportunity to play with members of the 2013-14 Griz women's tennis team.

Proceeds from the event help support the women's tennis program, with a portion of the proceeds going to a Missoula charity. Cost to participate is $30, which includes a piece of Griz gear.

Members of this year's Griz team are seniors Ashley Mackey (Murrieta, Calif.) and Maddy Murray (Dallas, Texas), juniors Sasha Carter (Bainbridge Island, Wash.), Haley Driver (Scottsdale, Ariz.), Precious Gbadamosi (Houston, Texas) and Laurence Pelchat (Repentigny, Quebec) and redshirt freshman Mackenzie Rozell (Springfield, Mo.).

Gbadamosi was a first-team All-Big Sky Conference selection last spring, Carter a second-team honoree. Driver and Pelchat both were named honorable mention as Montana went 15-8 overall, 9-1 in Big Sky matches, and advanced to the conference tournament championship match for the second straight season.

Sunday's event is limited to 25 people. To sign up, contact Montana women's tennis coach Steve Ascher at or 406-370-9436.
