Montana women's tennis wrapped up the three-day Jack Taylor Classic hosted by Boise State on Sunday.

Overall, the team won 21 matches and only dropped eight.

Mackenzie Rozell beat Jennifer Weissman from Colorado State to win the white (third) flight singles. Laurence Pelchat teamed up with Sasha Carter to win blue (top) flight back draw doubles.

"Over-all our team did extremely well," said Rozell. "We have really good chemistry so we can feed off of each others energy well. I was a little nervous coming into the tournament but I had my whole team behind me to support me and that really helped. They are really good at helping everyone when they are down and when we are winning they are there to help keep the positive momentum."

Pelchat earned a spot in the final round of the orange (second) flight but lost to Megan LaLone from Boise State on Sunday. Maddy Murray and Rozell progressed to the final round of the orange double flights, but also lost to LaLone and Bobbi Oshiro from Boise State.

On Saturday, Precious Gbadamosi lost her semifinal match of the blue singles flight to Marlena Pietzuch of Boise State. Gbadamosi teamed up with Ashley Mackey to compete in the final round of the blue doubles flight, but lost to Boise State duo Pietzuch and Sandy Vo.

"I am glad to see that we are continuing to keep the positive momentum from Washington State," said head coach Steve Ascher. "I am excited to see that we had positive outcomes from challenging matches, and I'm excited for us to go back on the practice courts to continue to improve."

The team travels Oct. 10 to Las Vegas to compete in the ITA Mountain Regional.
