Griz lose on the road to Boise State

The University of Montana women's tennis team lost to Boise State Sunday 6-1 at the Boas Tennis Center in Boise, Idaho. The Grizzlies were swept in doubles and only received one singles point from freshman Precious Gbadamosi in her win over Fiona Mok at the No. 6 match. Gbadamosi won easily 6-0, 6-0. The only other Grizzly to win a set was sophomore Maddy Murray who lost 10-8 in the super breaker after splitting her first two sets. "The team continues to show competitive drive gainst teams ranked in the top 100 nationally," said coach Steve Ascher. "Now we need to take what we have learned and apply it. "We are getting closer to beating those top teams." Montana will head out on the road again to face Weber State, Utah State and Idaho State Mar. 10, 11 and 12. Weber State will be Montana's second conference match up. The Griz defeated Portland State Feb. 11 by a score of 7-0. Boise State 6, Montana 1 Doubles Singles
