Lauren Robertson was hired as an assistant coach for the Montana soccer program in May 2011. She was most recently a student assistant coach at Ohio State.

Robertson, originally from Mission Viejo, Calif., was a four-year starter at goalkeeper for the Buckeyes. She concluded her record-setting career at Ohio State in 2009, then spent the 2010 season at OSU as a student assistant coach.

Robertson, who earned a degree in psychology in spring 2011, finished her career with 29 shutouts - second most in Big Ten Conference history - and a goals against average of 1.03.

As a senior she recorded a school-record 12 shutouts and posted a 0.63 goals against average to earn second-team All-Big Ten honors.

In the fall of 2010, Robertson was a student assistant coach on Ohio State's team that went 17-5-2, won a share of the Big Ten championship and advanced to the NCAA tournament semifinals where the Buckeyes dropped a 1-0 decision to eventual national champion Notre Dame.

Robertson's three keepers allowed just 15 goals in 24 matches last season and posted a dozen shutouts.

Robertson was invited to the national team's U16 training camp in 2004 and was drafted in the fifth round of the 2010 Women's Professional Soccer draft by the Washington Freedom.
