The Montana women's golf team sits in ninth place Monday after the first two rounds of the FedEx Memphis Intercollegiate were played at the Ridgeway Country Club in Germantown, Tenn.

Olivia Weber (79-77--156) leads the Grizzlies. She is in 15th place. Sophomore Tara Green follows her in 25th place. Green shot a 81-7--59. Freshman Hayley Bingham (78-84--162) finished the day in 36th place. Lindsay Reeve hit an 85 in both rounds to put her in 58th place.

"It was a challenging day today, but we still had some solid performances from freshman Hayley and veterans Olivia and Tara," said head coach Emily Milberger. "Olivia and Tara came back this afternoon and have put themselves into position for strong finishes tomorrow. It's always exciting to see veteran players overcoming challenging conditions."

Montana closed out the day with a 323-324--347 team score. The Grizzlies are three strokes behind eighth-place Sam Houston State.

Samford is in first place as a team, and its Natalie Mitchell sits at the top of the leaderboard.

The Grizzlies will play a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday. Live stats can be found at Golfstat.com. A full recap on GoGriz.com will follow the completion of competition.
