The Montana women's golf team finished in eight place Sunday at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate held at The Classic Club in Palm Desert, Calif.

Sophomore Tara Green (74-73-76--223) finished in seventh place and led the Grizzlies. Freshman Hayley Bingham(78-79-73--230) had the lowest score (73) of the Montana players in her final round. Bingham finished in 27th.

"This was a challenging course and a strong field, but we were able to gain some momentum and have a good weekend," said head coach Emily Milberger. "Tara had a few great rounds of golf, and Hayley had a strong final round. It's nice to see young talent develop at these tournaments."

Olivia Weber (78-74-83--235) took 41st place. Lindsay Reeve shot 82 for all three rounds to finish with a 246 and 83rd place. Kyla Clancy(92-79-85--256) finished in 98th place.

Collectively, Montana (312-305-314) finished with a team score of 931. The Grizzlies were three strokes behind seventh place finisher Northern Arizona.
