Griz suffer season ending loss to NAU



OGDEN, Utah - The University of Montana men's tennis team dropped two-of-three doubles contests and three singles matches in a 4-0 loss to No. 4 seed Northern Arizona in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference Championships on Thursday evening in Ogden, Utah. Cold, windy weather forced the dual match to be played indoors at the Ogden Athletic Club.

Montana managed only one win, which came at the No. 3 doubles position where the duo of Jan Steenekamp and Sean Stewart defeated NAU's Coll/Taylor, 8-4. With the win Northern Arizona advances to the conference semifinals where they will face top seed Montana State. Montana ends their season with a 7-11 overall record.
