MONTANA: Travon is very talented halfback, and along with fellow junior Jordan Canada could give the Grizzlies the most talented pair of running backs in the FCS in the country. He is s transfer from Marshall, and participated in 2013 spring drills at UM.

MARSHALL: He was the second leading rusher for Marshall as a redshirt freshman in 2011, when he rushed 143 times for 551 yards and three touchdowns, and was named to the Conference USA All-Freshman Team, playing in all 13 games with two starts. He also caught 21 passes for 171 yards. After three games in the 2012 season he led the Herd with 93 yards on 39 carries, but was moved then to defense, which led to his transfer to Montana. His head coach at Marshall was Doc Holliday.

HIGH SCHOOL: He rushed for 1,237 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior at Helix High School in San Diego before attending the Milford (N.Y.) Academy. He was rated a four-star recruit by several recruiting services and originally signed with the University of Florida. He also had offers from West Virginia, USC, Miami (Fla.), and several other schools. He also lettered in track and field and baseball at Helix High School.

CAREER HIGHS (at Marshall in 2011): Travon had 17carries for 114 yards and a 69-yard touchdown run at Tulsa...caught six passes for 68 yards in a (34-27) overtime win at East Carolina, including a 24-yarder that set up the game-winning touchdown.
