MONTANA: Chris Lider (pronounced: ly-der) won the starting berth as UM's place-kicker in fall camp.

2013: He was UM's kicker in the first three games, but lost the starting job. He made 11-of-14 PAT attempts, and 1-of-2 field goal tries. He played in nine games, handling kickoffs in six of them. He was an All-Big Sky Conference academic team selection.

2012: He had a solid year, making 15-of-21 (71.4%) of his field goal attempts and 37-of-41 (90.2%) of his PAT kicks. Also, 24 of his 71 kickoffs (33.9%) were touchbacks. He was an honorable mention All-Big Sky Conference selection. His 82 points rank him 17th on UM's single-season scoring list.

2011: He was a redshirt at Montana.

HIGH SCHOOL: He was a first team all-state pick at punter as a junior and senior at Sammamish High School. Named all-league at kicker twice. He was named his team's "Special Teams Player of the Year" in 2009 and 2010. He was a two-time all-conference selection in soccer as a defender. He served as team captain in football his senior year. His high school football coach was Brian Tucci.

CAREER HIGHS: He had a long field goal of 46 yards against Liberty in 2012. He kicked three field goals at Weber State two years ago. He made 10-of-10 PATs against Idaho State as a redshirt freshman, which tied the school record.

PERSONAL: His major is finance. Birth date: Nov. 17, 1992. His parents are Kirk and Carol Lider of Bellevue.
