Montana: Jacob did not play spring ball, as he had season-ending surgery after being in a game last year. He is expected to be at 100 percent by fall camp and contribute at tight end and on special teams.

2011: He played in four games before being injured and missing the rest of the year. had a solid spring and adds quality depth to the tight end position. He should contribute on special teams as well.

2010: He played in seven games, exclusively on special teams, and earned a letter. He did not have a reception.

2009: He was a squad member at UM.

2008: He was a redshirt at Montana.

High School: He earned two letters in football and two in basketball at Central Catholic High School...a second team all-conference selection at quarterback...served as a team captain in football his senior year...his teams won conference championships in football and basketball his senior season...his prep football coach was Steve Pyne.

Personal: He is a communications studies major. His parents are Scott and Sandra Haas of Portland. Birth date: Sept. 5, 1989.
