GSA to host pregame tailgate at Grand Forks
Oct. 11, 2012
Everyone in Montana knows that in December 2001 the Grizzlies won the I-AA national championship. Fewer people in Montana -- but everyone in North Dakota -- know that the then Fighting Sioux won the Division II national championship just days earlier. The two teams, which first began playing in 1915, will renew their rivalry as first-time Big Sky Conference opponents when Montana plays at North Dakota on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Grand Forks, N.D., and the Grizzly Scholarship Association will be on hand to do what it does best: bring Griz fans together. The GSA will host a pregame tailgate at UND's Tailgate Village, which is located no more than a Chris Lider kickoff from the southern entrance of the Alerus Center (see map above). The tailgate will go from 12:15 p.m. to 2:15 p.m., leading up the to the game's 2:40 p.m. kickoff. Fans will be able to purchase Dickey's barbeque, beverages and Griz t-shirts at the tailgate. For more information contact the GSA at 406-243-6481.
