Karla Judge enters her ninth season as an assistant certified athletic trainer for The University of Montana. She will be responsible for working with the volleyball and women's basketball teams in addition to assisting with the daily activities in the athletic training center.

Judge came to Montana after spending 11 years as the head women's athletic trainer at the University of California-Santa Barbara. Prior to UCSB, Judge was the head women's athletic trainer at Idaho State University for four years. In addition, she spent one year as the head athletic trainer at Concordia College in Portland, Ore. She also has 11 years of teaching experience.

A Whitefish, Mont., native, Judge earned her bachelor's degree from UM in 1984. She also holds master's degrees from Ohio University (1985) and Idaho State (1991).

During the school year, Judge teaches classes for the Athletic Training Education Program in the Health and Human Performance(HHP)Department on campus.
