SAAC co-president Jordan Sullivan

The Montana Student Athletic Advisory Committee picked up more than 900 points in the Conference Cup competition between Big Sky Conference schools, and Court Appointed Special Advocates of Missoula was the beneficiary.
After collecting backpacks, new school supplies and cash donations at five recent Griz home sporting events, SAAC co-presidents Jordan Sullivan, a senior on the Lady Griz basketball team, and Maddy Murray, a senior on the Montana women's tennis team, this week presented Tara Jensen, executive director of CASA of Missoula, with $650 and 250 packaged school supplies.
One hundred percent of the donations that were given by Griz Nation went to the nonprofit organization that serves abused and neglected children in Missoula and Mineral counties while working on their behalf in the court system.
"We are so grateful to have the support of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. They are not just student-athletes, they are dedicated members of our community," said Jensen.
"Their hard work and the generosity of Griz Nation will help our 109 volunteers and the more than 300 children they serve. We cannot thank them enough!"
"I'd like to give a huge thanks to everyone in the community who helped out, from donors to the media that helped spread the word," said Sullivan.
"And thanks to our fellow student-athletes and the Grizzly Athletics event staff for making it happen. It's great to see the progress SAAC is making as an organization. Hopefully we can make our upcoming events even more successful."
The Conference Cup competition includes both a fall and spring donation drive. Details of the spring competition will be forthcoming.
