Oct. 15, 2012
With the usually marooned-dominated Washington-Grizzly Stadium dotted with an outbreak of pink in the annual October home football game that raises awareness for breast cancer, it was fitting that Saturday's Split the Pot winner was a cancer survivor themself.
The winner, from Deer Lodge, Mont., won $10,415 with the winning ticket 160432.
Saturday's winner did not have health insurance at the time of the initial cancer diagnosis, and the Split the Pot winnings will mostly pay off their remaining bills from the cancer treatments.
It was a day when "Team Up Montana" took on a whole new meaning of Montanans helping Montanans and local donations staying local.
