2026 Girls & Women in Sports Day
Celebrate with us on Monday, January 19th, 2026!
The Lady Griz host Big Sky Conference opponent, Northern Arizona, on Monday, January 19th, at 2 P.M. and this will serve as our National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration. Join Grizzly Athletics and our female sports teams for a fun-filled day celebrating the past, present and future generations of women in sports!
Participate in our FREE pregame clinic! Starting at noon, all children ages 4-13, are welcome to come meet their favorite UM women's sports teams! Each team will have its own station with unique, fun activities for the children to play and get to know more about the sports they love!

Register your daughter, ages 7-13, for a chance to be a part of our game day experience as a junior game day helper! All helpers will get their own credential and t-shirt. All junior gameday helpers must be registered by Monday, January 12th by 11:59 P.M.
PREGAME CLINIC INFO
In addition to the game day helpers, the athletics department will be hosting a pregame youth clinic (all children, ages 4-13) starting at noon on Monday, January 19th in the West Auxiliary Gym located inside the Adams Center. The clinic will have representatives from most of Montana’s women’s sports teams and is a great way for children to interact and meet some of their favorite student-athletes and have fun playing sports. Plus there is an opportunity to get your favorite sports teams poster signed!
All clinic participants must submit a parent/guardian waiver before participating. Please be aware of this, especially if someone else will be dropping off your child on January 19th.

JUNIOR GAMEDAY STAFF POSITIONS
MARKETING ASSISTANT
Do you like watching the fun contests that the Griz have on the court during timeouts and at halftime? Marketing Assistants are in charge of all promotions, from selecting contestants to running the contests. Junior Marketing Assistants will assist the marketing team with 1 or 2 promotions on the court throughout the game.
VOICE OF THE LADY GRIZ AND REPORTER
Do you like watching sports on TV or listening on the radio, and listening to the announcers talk about the game and the players? Ace our radio announcer talks about all things Lady Griz for fans who can’t be in the arena on the day of the game. The junior voice of the Lady Griz will sit with our radio announcers pre-game and have the opportunity to announce part of the pre-game ritual.
TICKET TAKER
Are you a friendly person who likes saying hi to people? Ticket takers are some of the most important people on our staff- they are the first people that fans see when they come to our games! Our Junior Ticket Taker will have the opportunity to welcome Lady Griz fans and scan their tickets with our staff! During the game you will help sell split the pot for Grizzly Athletics.
PUBLIC ADDRESS ANNOUNCER
Do you have loud voice and enjoy speaking in front of people? Our public-address announcer is the voice you hear over the speakers when you attend a game. They announce our starting lineups, announce when players score baskets, and announce our promotions. Our Junior Announcer will have the opportunity to announce starting lineups on game day!
LADY GRIZ PHOTOGRAPHER
Do you love taking pictures? All of our photos for social media are taken by our awesome team of photographers. Our Junior Photographer will be a part of the action on game day by helping take photos of all the on-court action. Help make our entertainment the best it can be for fans who are not in attendance!
LADY GRIZ SPORTS INFORMATION DIRECTOR
Do you like to follow the Lady Griz in the news or on gogriz.com? Our sports information directors are responsible for managing and writing/reporting information about our team. Our Junior Sports Information Director will have the opportunity to assist with stats, help run stats to coaches and media, and learn a fun video tool that is used for Twitter.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Do you love using social media, like Instagram? Our social media manager is responsible for posting pictures and updates about our basketball team! Our Junior Social Media Manager will have the chance to 'take over' some of our social media channels on game day!
BAND DIRECTOR
Do you play an instrument, or like music? Our UM Band Director is in charge of the pep and marching band. They are an important part of our game day atmosphere because they bring the fun! Our Junior Band Director will have the opportunity to direct the band pre-game!
SPIRIT SQUAD MEMBER
Do you participate in dance or cheerleading? Do you like watching the spirit squad on game day? Our Junior Spirit Squad Member will get to be with and participate in our spirit squad pre-game routine.
LADY GRIZ EQUIPMENT MANAGER
Do you love the Lady Griz uniforms? Do you know how much work goes into getting them prepped for games? Be a part of the action and help distribute game day attire to the Lady Griz players and help wipe down the court!
LADY GRIZ TRAINER
Do you love helping others? If so, this job is for you. Our Junior Lady Griz Trainer will help get the players ready for game day and help keep them hydrated during the action!
LADY GRIZ TEAM MANAGER
Do you want a behind the scenes look at what it takes to help the team on gameday? This position gets an inside look on what it's like to be a team manager! Sit with the team on the bench during gameday!

Want a behind the scenes look at what it takes to get the court gameday ready? Signup to work with our facilities and operations team and assist with any on-court needs!
USHER
Do you enjoy helping people? Sign up to be an usher and help escort fans to their seat in the arena!
